You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out: Building Confidence Through Change

This lunch‑and‑learn session is designed for new graduates and early‑career professionals who are navigating the uncertainty of their first few years after school. Drawing from her own non‑linear career path, from Sociology graduate to nearly two decades in finance, to DEI practitioner, corporate trainer, and now HR Professional and university instructor, Rose Allison shares a grounded, relatable perspective on building confidence through change.

Participants will explore how to develop confidence while still finding their footing, how to navigate uncertainty, how to ask for help and feedback, and how to handle setbacks with resilience. Rose introduces practical strategies for making decisions when there isn’t a clear “right” choice and offers an adaptive mindset framework that supports growth in any career path.

This session is encouraging, honest, and deeply relevant for anyone who feels unsure about their direction. The core message: you don’t need to have everything figured out; you just need a starting point.
